Details of the Organisation:
The Junior Citizen Partnership is a partnership of The Hillingdon Borough Council, NHS (Hillingdon Schools), The London Fire Service (LFB), The Metropolitan Police, Brunel Volunteers, Transport for London and the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
Annually, each March for 15 working days, Hillingdon Borough’s year 6 children (approx. 3500 aged 10-11) are invited to 10 safety scenarios: the underground, bus safety, road safety, cycle safety, knife crime, drug and alcohol awareness, internet safety, water safety and fire safety.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
Volunteers are required from Monday 5th March 2018 (PM) until Friday 23rd March 2018 (PM) to assist with the smooth running of the event. Duties will include marshalling and assisting with safety scenarios if required.
There will be two sessions daily between Monday 5th March – Friday 23rd March:
- 9:30am – 11.45am
- 12.30pm – 2.45pm
4 volunteers are required per session.
Your involvement in Junior Citizens is very much appreciated as the Junior Citizens Project is invaluable to our young people who will be moving on the secondary school within a few months.
You will be volunteering at INSPIRE – Wilfred Brown Building – Brunel University London.
