Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

We are looking for volunteers to assist with a wide range of customers in the use of personal devices. Devices will range from phones, tablets or laptops and queries will be broad.

This will take place on the last Tuesday of every month, at 3-4.30pm, launching on the 24th April.

Library staff will support volunteers as they work one to one with our customers for 20 minutes at a time, providing valuable support and assistance. We hope to hold these sessions once a month.

This is the perfect opportunity to offer support to a wide range of people in the Yiewsley area. You will gain customer care and ICT skills among others, and provide a much needed service to members of the public.

Skills required:

  • Friendly
  • Some knowledge of ICT

Additional benefits to the Volunteer:

  • All hours will be recorded on your H.E.A.R – which goes on your permanent university record
  • Hours will contribute towards your Brunel Volunteers Award, which leads to an invitation to the Brunel Volunteers Awards Ceremony
