Details of the Charity:
Every minute of the day, someone is being cared for by a Marie Curie Nurse. Marie Curie provides nursing services to terminally ill patients who wish to spend the end of their lives in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by the people that matter to them most.
The Special Events Team at Marie Curie puts on over five fabulous social and corporate events every year in London, each raising over £30,000 for the charity. Those events include a glamorous private view of the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts and carol concert at Southwark cathedral, plus celebrity hosted corporate quiz nights. At these events, we need volunteers to help us ensure the smooth running and success of the evenings.
